Canara Bank Mudra Loan Scheme
This loan helps unfunded individuals, proprietors, partnerships running small manufacturing units, fruit and vegetable shops, food service units, repair shops, small industries, machine operators, truck operators, etc. get funds for their business needs. The maximum loan amount is Rs. 10 lakh.
Features of Canara Bank Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY)
Why this Loan?
- The loan is meant for Non-corporate Small Business Segment to get funds to meet their Working Capital needs
- The loan scheme is divided into three variants depending on the type and size of business, namely Shishu, Kishore and Tarun. The quantum of loan depends on the loan variant applicable to the business
Loan Amount
- Shishu Loan: The maximum loan amount is up to Rs. 50,000
- Kishore Loan: The maximum loan amount is from Rs. 50,001 up to Rs. 5 lakh
- Tarun Loan: The maximum loan amount is from over Rs. 5 lakh to up to 10 lakh
Interest
- The interest rate for this loan depends on the extant guidelines under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY)
Repayment
- These loans need to be repaid within 7 years after the moratorium ends
Security Needed
- The bank asks for CGTMSE coverage as security for this loan
Eligibility
- Individuals, proprietors, partnerships running small manufacturing units, fruit and vegetable shops, food service units, repair shops, small industries, machine operators, truck operators, etc. which fall under the MSME definition are eligible for this loan
Borrower Contribution to Total Cost (Margin Money)
- Canara Bank takes a 15% to 20% margin for these loans
Note: Margin money refers to the amount the borrower contributes to the overall amount required. The bank will cover the rest.
Processing Charges
- The processing charges for this loan depends on the extant guidelines under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) set by the government
Service Charges
- Loans up to Rs. 5 lakh: The bank does not levy service charges on Working Capital Loans or Term Loans for loan amount up to Rs. 5 lakh
- Loans above Rs. 5 lakh up to Rs. 1 crore: The borrower has to pay Rs. 100 per lakh of loan amount up to a maximum of Rs. 10,000 for Working Capital Loans and 0.75% of loan amount up to a maximum of Rs. 75,000 for Term Loans. The minimum service charge is Rs. 500 for Working Capital Loans and Rs. 3,750 for Term Loans
- Loans Above Rs. 1 crore: The borrower has to pay Rs. 150 per lakh up to a maximum of Rs. 7.5 lakh for Working Capital Loans and 1% of loan amount up to a maximum of Rs. 7.5 lakh for Term Loans. The minimum service charge is Rs. 15,000 for Working Capital Loans
