Interest
- The interest rate for this loan is defined as 1-year Marginal Cost of Funds Based Lending Rate of Central Bank of India + Strategic Premium where Strategic Premium depends on a range of factors such as credit risk rating of the borrower, loan amount, etc.
- As of now, the 1-year MCLR of Central Bank of India is 7.10% and the Strategic Premium for this loan is 3.00% bringing the effective interest rate at 10.10%
Repayment
- These loans need to be repaid in up to 12 months
Security Needed
- The bank asks for equitable mortgage of immovable property as primary security for this loan
Borrower Contribution to Total Cost (Margin Money)
- The bank charges 20% of the total loan amount as margin for this loan
Note: Margin money refers to the amount the borrower contributes to the overall amount required. The bank will cover the rest.
