Loan Amount

  • This is a need-based loan and the maximum loan amount depends on the needs as well as the profile of the borrower

Interest & Repayment

  • The interest rate for this State Bank of India Loan is defined as the sum of two factors, namely: one-year Marginal Cost of Funds based Lending Rate (MCLR) and Strategic Spread. Currently, the one-year MCLR of SBI is 7.00% and the Strategic Spread may range from 1.00% to 3.25%. This means that the effective interest rate may range from 8.00% to 10.25%

Security Needed

  • The bank asks for hypothecation of underlying stocks for which warehouse receipt has been issued by collateral manager in favour of the bank

Borrower’s Contribution to Total Cost (Margin Money)

  • The bank charges 25% to 35% of the total loan amount as margin for this loan
