Savings Accounts

Here are some of the banks that provide savings accounts in India. This is not a comprehensive list as we have not included Payment Banks, Co-operative Banks (which you may be surprised to know are of 6 types as per RBI classification) and Regional Rural Banks.

In case you wanted to know, there are 2,100 banks in India. And we have included only (what we think are) the top 50+ banks with some sizeable retail presence in metro, urban and semi-urban areas. The list includes some of the recently merged banks.
